Orphan presents the first English version the 2004 TV special, *Chiisai Sensuikan ni Koi o Shita Dekasugiru Kujira no Hanashi* (*The Tale of the Ginormous Whale That Loved a Little Submarine*). This is the third show in Shin-Ei Animation’s *Sensou Douwa* (*War Fables*) series. It is considerably expanded from a short story by Nosaka Akiyuki, who also wrote *The Grave of the Fireflies*. It is a bit lighter in tone than the other specials in this series, but it still packs an emotional wallop.
