Orphan presents a new English version of the 1994 shoujo OVA *Tanjou: Debut* (*Birth: Debut*). Based on an idol-training simulation game by Headroom, it contains two unrelated stories featuring the same quartet of girls. The conceit is that the four are appearing as themselves in independent teleplays. The first is about romance found and lost. It is mostly comedic, with a touch of heartbreak:  The second is about childhood loss. It is melancholic, with a breathtakingly superficial (and supernatural) conclusion:  R2J DVD encode; FLAC audio.
